“In the end all you have is yourself” -Anonymous

The most beautiful love in the world is the love of self. It is the most purest and accepting love that anyone in the world could experience. True self-love is not a narcissistic love, however, it is the most compassionate love that nurtures the love towards others and in ourselves. Developing a narcissistic relationship with yourself in the first place means that there is something lacking in you and it obstructs you from the true love.

The truest love to have with yourself is much more meaningful and it is the most loving love you would ever experience. Loving yourself fully takes an act of big courage and compassion. Most of us fail to love ourselves truly that we give that love to other people who take it for granted. Only if we acknowledge the power we have in us, nothing in this world would break us down. In order to acquire the ability to love ourselves, we need to understand the definition of self-love. The answer to the definition varies to each individual but the most common reasons would be forgiveness, compassion, and patience. There will never be a single meaning to self-love, nonetheless, it is a journey. We fall in ourselves more in the quest of finding the reasons to love ourselves. The more we love ourselves, the more we realize that “The One” was always oneself.

It is okay if you struggle to love yourself; embrace the difficulties and enjoy the journey. Believing in one day you will acquire the ability to fully love yourself is enough, because your soul will find a way.
